  I've been walking to Bayonne park for many years. It is a 96 acre park with a quarter mile track, pond, basketball court, fields for sports, a boardwalk on the Newark Bay, a children's playground with sprinklers in the summer, parking, a separate walkway over the wetlands that you can access from 440. You can picnic, set up your lounge chair facing the water, read the paper, (plenty of benches), jog, walk your dog--everything you need and bathrooms. You even have parking facing the waterfront. You will almost feel like you are at the Jersey Shore! Only a national park can offer more!
